I am apolitical. I am disappointed with loss of life, property, violence, hostility, incompetence, etc..
Israel is constantly being squeezed by outsiders. It also has to defend itself. Recent developments have shown that Netanyahu is not working in the best interests of Israel.
I was invited to Silvan Shalom's Rosh Hashana party in Tel Aviv. I talked it over with others and we decided that Silvan might be the next head of Likud come election time (soon). Sorry to be blunt, but he is a pussy. We know that Netanyahu will lose the election and the woman (his opponent) is not going to get stronger.
Having spent many years in Israel, I value Minister Uzi Landau and his abilities to lead. I realize that his mandates will be at least 19 and the power of Beytenu will be much stronger. Lieberman, may or may not get indicted. However that doesn't really matter.
What matters is that there seems to be no compromise. There seems to always be rockets ready to destroy. Giving an inch will mean giving a mile. So while Obama is reeling, it might be time for Israel to take a stance against U.S. policy.
Beytenu also believes in a two state solution, loyalty to Israel, or get out. Doesn't matter if you are Neturay Karta or Israeli Arab, if your allegiance is with a different country, it's time to get out. Israel is way too small to have so many hostiles within its borders.
As to Yehudah and Shomron (Yeshah), as long as the Arabs don't recognize Israel and keep amassing weapons to destroy Israel, then why give back anything?
It is not politics. It is survival.
Judah
